Since President Nelson first spoke to the youth in June 2018 about being the “Hope of Israel” and their mission as the youth battalion of the Lord to help gather Israel I have had the importance of my roll as a teacher of children and youth impressed upon my mind.
My children are only 5, 3 and 6 months old but they are the Hope of Israel. They (along with myself) are responsible for “offering the gospel of Jesus Christ to God’s children on both sides of the veil who have neither made crucial covenants with God nor received their essential ordinances.” Do we really know what that means? Do we know and understand the significance of the House of Israel? Do we know our role in all of this?
So when I listened to this podcast called "Hope of Israel-a mother's letter for troubled times" which puts out the invitation to study and learn about the Gathering of Israel, it resonated with me. The Lord said, “Yes! This is what I want you to teach your children.” So I bought a book called The Millennial Instructor: The True “Olive Tree” and downloaded the free workbook from the Duet Podcast.
As I looked over it all I was amazed by the study, effort and faith put forth by all
those who created these incredible resources. However, based on the ages of my kids I knew I would need to be creative to add some more interactive supplements for young children. So this site is where I will post about those activities and projects. I invite you to join me as we study about how we can become the "Hope of Israel, Zion’s Army, children of the promised day".
I believe the Savior’s return is not far off. The time to prepare is now. Let’s get gathering and allow the Savior to be our mentor as we #HearHim #theirstorymystory
