In 1943, Joseph Smith Jr. was asked, “What is the object of the gathering?” He said:
The main object was to build unto the Lord a house whereby He could reveal unto his people the ordinances of His house and the glories of His kingdom, and teach the people the way of salvation.
Along with discussing the importance of Temple Covenants (see our last lesson), we did 3 main activities for this section of the Millennial Instructor:
1. I drew this and the kids colored it. It’s our temple. It will be rededicated end of October. 🙌🏼
2. The kids memorized the Standard of Truth. We did this over a couple weeks.
This was my sons response when I asked him to say the Standard of Truth. #reallife 😆 Also, my daughters threat about “no lunch” if he doesn’t say it. 🤦🏼♀️
3. Build a temple out of blocks
